Events for Year 2006 - 2007

The branch organizes dozens of events for the interests and benefits of the student body each year. Among the events, the following are the most popular:

Wine and Cheese
Around early September, the branch organizes a Wine and Cheese event to introduce the branch to first year undergraduate and graduate students. At the same time, the chair announces some scholarship opportunities that the students may apply.

This year (2006), the 10th anniversary and the 4th IEEE Wine and Cheese successfully took place on September 21, 2006 with a great attendance from students and faculty remembers from the engineering departments. We are happy to announce that we were able to recruite 43 new members to our IEEE student branch.

Graduate Information Session
The branch collaborates with the The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering to organize a week-long graduate school information sessions, widely known as the Grad Talks. This year, more than 400 students attended the Grad Talks.
